Volunteer Information
Welcome to the Walton County School District Volunteer Application Portal and thank you for expressing interest in becoming a volunteer with our school district! Our administrators, teachers and students are excited about the difference you are going to make! Walton County students are working to become top scholars in the state, and we very much appreciate your willingness to help us provide the best education possible for our children. Please feel free to contact your District Volunteer Coordinator, Lori Hughes (850.892.1100) or individual school Volunteer Representative with questions, concerns, or stories of student success.
Our district offers a variety of activities you may choose from when volunteering your time. Your first step is to contact your school volunteer coordinator to inform them of your interest in volunteering on the school campus.
You will need to print the district volunteer/mentor affidavit from the web page below. Complete the form, have it notarized then begin your online application. You will need to scan and upload your affidavit during the application process. If you are unable to scan and upload your affidavit, take it to the volunteer coordinator at the school you've chosen to volunteer with. Upon approval of your application, you will receive an email notification and instructions from your school volunteer coordinator on any next steps.
It is important that any information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card which includes your full legal name. Please be aware, as you choose volunteer activities, that additional clearance screening may be required. Additional clearance screening is conducted by the Human Resources Department at the Walton County School District Office. Your school site volunteer coordinator will discuss this with you and provide more information should the need arise.
Also, you must provide a valid email address on your application so we can notify you of the status of your application and for future communication. All information collected on the application will remain confidential and will not be shared outside the volunteer program. If you have any questions about the application, please request to speak with the school's volunteer representative.
NOTICE: Your application will not be approved until you have completed the Volunteer Affidavit, Volunteer Application, been cleared through FSO Website and completed Volunteer Orientation PowerPoint and quiz located below.
